Apploft: DOTIX’s Central App Inventory and Ecosystem Powering Internal Applications

Project Overview
Apploft is an internal platform engineered by DOTIX to act as the company’s app inventory and operational backend. It provides a complete suite of backend capabilities while centralizing the management of all internal applications.
While Omnibase is the upgraded BaaS architecture for new and scalable apps, Apploft continues to operate fully and remains essential for day-to-day app management, legacy operations, and internal workflows.
Apploft was built to simplify backend operations and give DOTIX a unified way to manage apps, data, files, processes, and infrastructure from a central system.
What We Created
DOTIX developed Apploft as a complete internal ecosystem. It includes database handling, authentication, file storage, payout processing, a notification system, and various operational tools used across multiple in-house applications.
A dedicated admin dashboard allows teams to manage apps, monitor operations, assign permissions, track system activities, and maintain visibility across the entire internal ecosystem.
We also created a landing page with a contact form, offering a clear overview of Apploft’s purpose and capabilities.
Tech Stack Used (And Why)
PHP, MySQL, Redis (Core Platform)
Apploft’s core backend uses PHP and MySQL, chosen for stability and predictable performance. Redis improves caching and system responsiveness.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind (Dashboard)
The dashboard was built using modern front-end fundamentals enhanced by Tailwind CSS for a clean and efficient UI.
Astro, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS (Landing Page)
The landing page uses Astro for fast static output, with TypeScript reliability and Tailwind CSS design efficiency.
Impact & Results
Apploft made internal application management significantly easier for DOTIX. It delivers unified APIs, structured documentation, and built-in tools that reduce development time and improve operational efficiency.
Even after the introduction of Omnibase, Apploft remains actively used—continuing to power DOTIX’s app inventory and various operational processes.
Together, Apploft and Omnibase form a complementary system: Apploft manages existing internal operations, while Omnibase provides an upgraded, scalable BaaS foundation for new applications.
Conclusion
Apploft continues to be a reliable operational backbone for DOTIX. It centralizes app management, simplifies backend operations, and supports internal applications with consistent performance. Its role remains essential even as Omnibase expands the capabilities of DOTIX’s backend ecosystem.
